Six months warranty
Regular maintenance and smart enhancements can significantly extend the technical and economic life of equipment, but sometimes it is wiser to replace an existing machine. For example, to meet the need to reduce CO2 emissions, or under pressure from high energy and fossil fuel prices.
The current uncertain economic climate makes it difficult for some companies to invest in new capital equipment. Used machines can then be an interesting option, although there may be uncertainty about the history and technical condition of the machine. When reliable production is not possible, any savings due to the lower purchase price are quickly negated.
Contiweb understands these concerns and offers security and warranty when buying used Contiweb equipment.
Benefit from our knowledge
The installed base of Contiweb splicers and hot air dryers consists of thousands of machines, each of which we know very well. First of all because we have developed, built and installed them ourselves, but also because we have maintained many of these machines since they came into operation. Moreover, we receive performance data from these machines via a VPN connection on a daily basis. If a customer indicates to us that they want to sell a particular machine, we know the entire history and can perfectly assess whether this machine has a second life.
You can benefit from our knowledge if you are in the market for a used machine. Should you wish to purchase a used Contiweb machine, we are your first point of contact. We have a limited stock of used machines and can search for good used equipment that is still in the field. We carry out qualified repairs where necessary and enhancements where desired. Contiweb has worked with all printing press manufacturers for decades and can also assist with relocation.
Checked, repaired and upgraded
We don’t just move boxes. The used equipment that we have in stock is carefully checked, repaired and, if desired, upgraded. When a used piece of equipment leaves Contiweb, it is Certified Pre-Owned and comes with 6 months warranty.
The work performed on a used machine depends very much on the condition of the machine and whether the customer places great value on its appearance. As standard we always carry out:
- Full inspection
- Complete cleaning (repaint if desired)
- Replacement of parts (mechanical and electrical) that are broken or critical
- Software update to the latest version
- Full functional testing
