Contiweb has more than 40 years' experience of in-house development and production of high-quality equipment. We source certain components from carefully selected specialized manufacturers and keep them in stock so they can be quickly replaced in the event of a defect. This way you can be sure that you are getting the correct component and can also make use of our support when replacing it.

Parts frequently become unavailable from a supplier (discontinued0, for example due to product improvements or changing legislation. This mainly involves electronic parts where the changes and phasing out of components moves at a very fast pace.

One-to-one replacements in parts web shop

In 95% of the cases Contiweb is able to find a component that is a one-to-one replacement. Extensive testing is carried out by Contiweb before it is offered and guaranteed to meet our high-quality standards. In some cases, software in these components is programmed specifically for your machine so you can install it easily yourself and get your machine up and running again quickly.

Modification instead of one-to-one replacement

There are also obsolete components for which we do not have a one-to-one replacement. An example of this is certain Lenze drives that are no longer available due to environmental legislation. If such a Lenze drive fails, a complex modification is necessary, for which more downtime is needed and a Contiweb engineer necessary on site.

You can avoid long production stops and high costs by replacing these obsolete parts before they break down, at a time that suits you. The modified solution often leads to higher productivity and lower production costs, so expenditure can be easily recouped. The replaced components can be used as a backup, this way you will always have a working part available on location.

Replacements for obsolete HMI's

Human Machine Interfaces (HMI’s) not only have the function to operate the machine, they also serve as a 24/7 diagnostic data logger on a dryer and as the communication interface between the press console and the dryer or splicer. HMI’s are critical components, without which, the machine will not be able to run.

Contiweb machines last for decades and therefore can sometimes contain HMI’s that are no longer available on the market. We provide 1-to-1 replacements that have been extensively tested and guaranteed to meet our high-quality standards.
