Around 150 employees at Contiweb in Boxmeer and Gonic (USA) work daily on the success of its products and services. Due to the expansion of the product range, the R&D department is looking for a:

Process Engineer

What are you going to do?

As a Process Engineer you have a leading role in generating new ideas and developments. You come in contact with multiple technologies and determine the key processes in the product. You get a lot of freedom to analyse the market on your own initiative and come up with creative new product ideas. For this you travel, on you own initiative, to (potential) customers. Within Contiweb, as a Process Engineer you fulfil a core role in a multidisciplinary team and, together with the Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineers, you are able to translate an idea into a concrete design. You are responsible for the process side of developing and designing a product, both with regard to existing and future equipment. You make all the necessary technical calculations and models for this. You analyse and solve process-related problems at the machines. You are responsible for designing and performing measurements and tests on test setups as well as on machines and production lines. This is done both in our factory in Boxmeer and on location at customers worldwide.

What do we ask of you?

  • You have an academic working and thinking level in the direction of measurements and control technology and/or warm mechanical engineering/thermodynamics.
  • You have conceptual and analytical skills and you have the ability to translate concepts into practical solutions using a pragmatic approach
  • You are result-oriented and can function both independently and in a team.
  • You have several years of experience in mechanical construction, experience in the graphic industry is a plus.
  • Contact with customers in an international playing field appeals to you and you are therefore willing to travel regularly
  • You have good verbal and written skills in English and preferably also German language.
  • You are curious, inquisitive, creative, proactive and flexible. You dare to take decisions and you can deal with varying work pressure, schedules and priorities. You have a practical hands-on mentality and find it important to continue develop yourself in terms of content and personal development.
